Field-modified camouflage used during the KFOR (Kosovo Force) peacekeeping mission, launched in 1999 under NATO command. As part of this operation, French forces served alongside international troops to help stabilize the situation in Kosovo. In snowy terrain, crews manually applied white and gray patches over the standard camouflage pattern to improve concealment. Despite its improvised nature, the scheme preserved the base structure and became a notable example of battlefield adaptation in real combat conditions.
